need a good Christmas gift idea for my roommate?
here's the thing:
she is my roommate, she is also my best friend... we like each other (we've both admitted it) but we stay just friends to keep things from getting messed up.
I want to give her something thoughtful, that will last forever. it has to be sweet but not too mushy, it needs to be something she can see everyday or use everyday.
she likes art, and books, movies, and creative stuff... we are both hippy stoners and I was going to get her a nice green (favorites color) blown glass bowl or bong ($25-125) but if she ever get it taken from her by the cops that would ruin it... any ideas pleeeeeeeze 
If you don't want the bong to be confiscated, don't buy one.
However, you can buy a lot of artsy stuff- if you know where to look. Do you know of the art galleries or shops in your area? If so, check those out. You would be buying locally and helping an artist as well.
I suggest some nice beaded bracelets or necklaces. Pick out a nice stone that matches her eyes or select her birthstone.
Jewelry, well made, lasts forever.
She can then pass it down to her children,grandchildren, etc.
