Planting flowers now for August Wedding?
We are considering planting flowers for an August wedding. Colors would include lime green (filler and flower), pinks, oranges and purples.
Any suggestions for flowers? We are in zone 5
Some ideas come to mind would be Asters and Star Daisy's but I don't know the heartiness of these plants.

I'm sorry. I didnt explain that these would be CUT flowers.
I'm in zone 5. Wait until at least May 23 to plant outdoors. Let the greenhouses grow the plants for you until then. We talking frost again before planting is safe.
For sun or shade? I suggest annuals of (sun) cosmos, celosia, snapdragons (and pinch those when you put them in) and don't just plant one or two plants, groups of odd numbers seem to do best. And marigolds and rudbekia, just dead head them now and again. And for low lying ground cover or hanging baskets Wave Petunia. Purple puts on a really good show and there a no maintenance petunia, Love those things.
For shade or partly shaded areas put in a mix of different colored impatients. Or even begonias, again, easy and very little maintenance.
Face it with a wedding going on you don't want to spend all you time in the garden.
Edit: Asiatic lillies are a HUGE MAGNET for japanese beetles in may areas that are big garden pests.
