Why don't LDS Church leaders condemn Bushman's _Rough Stone Rolling_?
Among the many things this horrible book says, it claims that historical records show Joseph Smith married women already married to other men and a few teenagers. And the author/historian claims to be an active Mormon!
I know quite a number of active LDS who have read this book and have benefitted from it. I plan to read it myself one of these days when I get the time. I can't comment on the contents of the book beyond that, because I haven't read it yet.
It is very rare for LDS Church leaders to condemn books. We are told that we should not be commanded in all things. Joseph Smith said that we are taught correct principles and we are then responsible to govern ourselves.
